A hunt-and-herd game from Nepal, Bagh-Chal — usually played as
Tigers & Sheep. Here the tigers are foxes and the sheep are mushrooms.
- ’Shrooms drop onto the board one at a time — 20 in all. Once every one is placed they start walking, one step along a line per turn.
- Foxes (4 of them, one in each corner) move one step along a line, or leap straight over a single neighbouring ’shroom onto the empty point beyond — that one gets eaten.
- Foxes win by eating 5 ’shrooms.
- ’Shrooms win by boxing in every fox so none of them can move.
- ’Shrooms always go first.
- In 2 players, P1 picks a side and P2 takes the other. Whoever is up is
lit in the corner and named in the bar below the island.
